These works are dedicated and influenced by John Cage’s chance operations.
The premise is to use indeterminacy to create my image. I use various dice to set parameters for materials used, direction, and placement within the composition.
Rules and parameters are essential in exploring this pathway of creation. Through these rules, I am relinquishing control of preexisting ideas of how to create art. I am also allowing the art to make itself by being completely open to what may happen.
